Annual Awards

In 2021, SOFT implemented a new program to present annual awards for exemplary work in the field of forensic toxicology. Award recipients are determined through an open nomination process, and adjudicated by the SOFT Awards Committee. Awards are presented at the SOFT Annual Meeting. Membership in SOFT is required to both nominate a recipient and receive an annual award. Self nominations will not be accepted.

Nominations require:

  • The selection of a nomination category
  • Rationale for nomination, not to exceed 1,000 words
  • A resume, CV or professional background information on the nominee

Optional information that may be included:

  • Up to two letters of support for the nomination, not to exceed 1,000 words each. Letters exceeding 1,000 words will not be considered.

Any additional information will not be considered.

Nominations for 2024 awards will open in June 2024.
