The duty of the CVD committee is to promote an environment of equity, diversity and inclusion within the organization and at SOFT-sponsored programs. 

Mission Statement

The Society of Forensic Toxicologists, Inc. (SOFT) aspires to create a diverse organization supporting the success of each member regardless of their age, culture, ability, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, family circumstances, religious affiliation, or socioeconomic status.

The Culture, Values and Diversity Committee will work to:

  • Create an environment that is welcoming across diverse backgrounds
  • Promote participation in activities supporting diversity in our communities
  • Communicate diversity and inclusion initiatives, actions and results to all interested parties
  • Promote greater diversity by recommending strategic initiatives to recruit, support, and retain members from diverse backgrounds
  • Assist leadership in the implementation of strategic initiatives proposed by the CVD
